The prices listed here serve as a general guide for the cost of our services.
For unusually large windows, additional charges may apply due to the extra time required compared to an average-sized window.
If the windows are not in a condition ready for painting, there will be an additional charge of £20 to £40 per side, depending on the extent of preparation required.
This preparation includes:
- Sanding the entire sashes and window frames to ensure that the new paint adheres properly to the existing paint.
- Removing all loose putty and replacing it with new Butyl putty that can be painted instantly without cracking.
- Filling all cracks, holes, and imperfections in the windows with Toupret exterior window filler, followed by sanding to achieve a smooth finish.
- Sealing the gaps between the putty and the glass with Toupret flexible filler. This prevents water from seeping behind the putty and rotting the timber sash, a problem that can go unnoticed but result in significant and costly damage down the line.
